MICHAEL CHAI

ReAct South East Asia Coordinator

Michael Chai is a social development specialist with a PhD in Asian Studies from the University of Amsterdam. His work experience is focused on research, project development and social policy on health and development, gender equality, disaster preparedness and management and disadvantaged social groups.

Prior to his joining ReAct, he was engaged as a social and economics officer and consultant to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, UNAIDS, UNESCO and Recovery Affairs Advisor to the United Nations Office of the Recovery Coordinator for Aceh and Nias.
