March 8 - Welcome to the New ReAct Web.

March 11 - Ghanaian Working Group on AMR - The Ghanaian Ministry of Health together with ReAct organizing a two-day workshop in Accra, Ghana in February to explore options for national policy development to address the emerging problem of antimicrobial resistance.

March 24 - "An Urgent Call to Action" - ReAct participating in the Australian Antimicrobial Resistance Summit 2011 held in Sydney on February 7-8.

April 4 - WHO And ReAct Call for Action on Antimicrobial Resistance - World Health Day, April 7, 2011

April 12 -"The Beginning of A New Era in Antibiotic Development" - ReAct Seminar co-hosted with two Members of the European Parliament in Brussels on March 29.

April 19 - PhotoReisist to Raise Awareness on Antibiotic Resistance - The ReAct Latin America photo project; "PhotoResist, Antibiotic Resistance in my Primary Health Center and my Community" launched in April.

April 27 - ReAct Comments on US Public Health Action Plan on AMR.

May 19 - Conclusions from the Uppsala Conference on Antibiotic Innovation - The results from the joint ReAct-Uppsala University conference ”The Global Need for Effective Antibiotics - Moving towards Concerted Action” held in Uppsala in September 2010 available as a series of articles published in Drug Resistance Updates.

June 13 - Collaboration for Innovation - Report from the ReAct high-level meeting “Collaboration for Innovation – The Urgent Need for New Antibiotics” held in Brussels on May 23.

July 12 - ReAct SEA Regional Plan of Action - Report from The ReAct Southeast Asia Regional Conference: "Dealing with Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Strategic Plan for Drug System Monitoring & Development", held in May 2011.

August 19 - The Role of Medical Students in Tacklng Antibiotic Resistance - ReAct Director Andreas Heddini led a seminar about antibiotic resistance at the International Federation of Medical Student’s Associations Annual General Meeting that was held in Copenhagen, Denmark on August 5.

September 29 - 1st Global Forum on Bacterial Infections - ReAct co-sponsoring the meeting and chairing sessions on innovation of novel health technologies and the development and implementation of policies to manage antibiotic resistance (ABR), as well as the hands-on session: “Reimagining Resistance”, which explores new ways of communicating ABR.

November 3 - ReAct signs the Antibiotic Action Petition

November 4 - ReAct - USM Joint Education Project - "Education on Antibiotic Resistance in Medical and Pharmacy Schools: Findings from Curriculum Survey in Selected South East Asian Universities" is a joint project by Discipline of Social and Administrative Pharmacy, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia and ReAct - Action on Antibiotic Resistance.

November 17 - EU Commission Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance - “We are more than pleased with this initiative which we believe will pave the way for urgently needed new antibiotics through exceptional knowledge - sharing and collaboration”, says Professor Otto Cars, Chairman of ReAct - Action on Antibiotic Resistance.
