Projects: Iatrogenic Poverty in Cambodia, China, Laos; Supporting use of research evidence for policy in African health systems; Improving quality of maternal and perinatal health care via IT-support systems in Burkina-Faso, Ghana, Tanzania. Improving neonatal and child health care in Uganda.

Member of Global Health Europe Task Force, Co-founder of International Network for Rational Use of Drugs (INRUD), ReAct Network to contain antimicrobial resistance. Sits on the Scientific Technical Advisory Committee of the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research, WHO and member of WHO Expert Panel on Drug Policy and Management. Senior advisor to WHO Evidence-Informed health Policy Network (EVIPNet). Honorary professor, Shandong University China.
