Julian Nyamupachitu is the Deputy Director for ReAct Africa. She is a seasoned public health specialist with over 15 years of extensive program management experience, having successfully overseen a diverse range of projects across multiple Sub-Saharan countries. Currently serving as the Deputy Director, she is responsible for supporting the overall leadership and management of ReAct Africa, collaborating with the Director to develop and implement strategic plans, manage program activities, build partnerships with stakeholders, and oversee the organization’s day-to-day operations.

Julian also contributes to monitoring and evaluation, budget and financial oversight, youth engagement, , fundraising efforts, policy advocacy. Julian has played a pivotal role in orchestrating the seamless execution and diligent monitoring and evaluation of diverse Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) initiatives, engaging with a broad spectrum of stakeholders. Notably, she has spearheaded the strategic implementation of a highly impactful youth engagement portfolio for ReAct Africa, contributing significantly to the conception and execution of the pioneering AMR Leaders Program for tertiary level students in Africa (AMRLEP), aimed at nurturing a cohort of passionate youth AMR champions throughout the region.

Before joining ReAct, she led various projects in the faith-based sector. She was lead in interventions focused on improving Type 2 diabetes care in Zambia and Zimbabwe, targeting faith-based health facilities, and received an award for her outstanding achievements in this capacity. Moreover, she played a pivotal role in streamlining the monitoring and evaluation processes at the Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network. Julian holds a Masters in Monitoring and Evaluation of Population, Development, and Health Programs. She is currently finalizing her Masters in Public Health degree and is also a PhD candidate.
