Since its inception in 2005, ReAct’s main funder has been the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). The support aligns with the scope of the EU-funded EDCTP program.
Over the years, substantial contributions have also been made by the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and Uppsala University. Component funding for specific projects and positions have been provided by Swedish foundations, EU and WHO.
In addition, different ReAct offices and several of their partners have received funds from local donors, EU and regional WHO offices. An important part of funding is also in the form of voluntary work and other types of in-kind contributions from local partners.
ReAct does not accept funding from the pharmaceutical industry. Every year since 2005, the finances of ReAct´s core work funded by Sida has been reviewed and approved by an external and qualified auditor.
