As Global Health Advisor, Andrea Caputo Svensson contributes to ReAct policy and advocacy efforts, especially in the fields of R&D and sustainable access to effective antibiotics, the impact of antibiotic resistance on cancer treatment, and One Health. Given his Ph.D. in Marine Ecology/Molecular Microbiology from Stockholm University, he is also an asset for ReAct evidence-based work and writing outputs.
Prior to joining ReAct, he has worked on multiple research and policy-related projects of antibiotic resistance: as Programme Officer at Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), as Expert Consultant to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and as Senior Research Scientist at EMPE Diagnostics.
