As an associated Medical Advisor, Thomas is working primarily on guidelines, education and research activities related to antibiotic resistance. He strives to make scientific findings and expert knowledge accessible to the public and relevant stakeholder and help generate data that can be used to guide actions on antibiotic resistance. Thomas is an infectious diseases physician working at the tertiary Uppsala University Hospital and a researcher with ongoing studies on appropriate antibiotic use, optimal dosing and combination therapy to enhance the effects of antibiotics against multidrug-resistant bacteria as well as disturbance of the intestinal microbiota during antibiotic therapy and hospitalization.
