Salman is working as a Youth Engagement Consultant for ReAct Asia Pacific.
He is a recent MBBS graduate from Grant Government Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai. Salman has over seven years of volunteering and leadership experience in various public health issues including AMR on a local, national and international level through his engagement in Medical Students’ Association of India and the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations.
He has been a part of the Quadripartite Working Group on Youth Engagement for AMR, has been a co-lead organiser of the 4th Global AMR Youth Summit and has collaborated nationally with WHO India for activities during the World AMR Awareness Weeks.
Salman has actively led capacity building initiatives as well as policy and advocacy work on AMR on behalf of medical students worldwide, and has represented them in multiple high level meetings including the World Health Assemblies, WHO Regional Committee Meetings for South East Asia, and meetings of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
