ReAct Africa developed and lunched a chatbot designed to support Antibiotic Stewardship under the LifeArc funded project- Antibiotic Stewardship Program through Innovation, Research and Education (ASPIRE).
ASPIRE focuses on empowering healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools to implement AMS principles effectively, and also as a tool for outpatients and communities, enhancing understanding of antibiotic use and potential adverse events; Leading to improved patient care and reduction in AMR.
That chatbot serves as an invaluable tool for outpatients and communities, enhancing understanding of antibiotic use and potential adverse events. The demo version was launched at the World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) Scientific Symposium in Ndola, Zambia on 21st November, 2024. It was launched for pilot testing and feedback purposes. The final version will be tailored for use with a Zambian number in Zambia and Kenyan number in Kenya.
