ReAct Africa continues to expand its reach to young people in tertiary institutions in Zambia. However, the complexity of AMR often makes it difficult for non-scientific audiences to fully grasp. Recognizing the need to bridge this gap, ReAct Africa developed an innovative AMR descriptive word game called AMR Word Warriors, inspired by the popular game 30 Seconds.
Tailored for youths and the young at heart, this engaging game simplifies the language of AMR while raising awareness in a fun and interactive way. By encouraging players to explain key AMR concepts in accessible terms, the game fosters understanding and sparks curiosity about this critical issue.
AMR Word Warriors has been piloted to over 165 students from 5 universities in Lusaka and Ndola, Zambia. ReAct has continued to adapt and develop more games and creative initiatives to attain meaningful, sustainable youth engagement in Africa making AMR education relatable and impactful, empowering the next generation to take action.
